I was in Austin for a few days at this year’s SXSW festival and thought it would be fun and informative to attempt to use AI to summarize the most talked about topics for those who couldn’t attend.
To do this we:
Analyzed tens of thousands of tweets about #SXSW from March 11 - March 20
Identified most popular topics and ranked them by engagement
Fed the most engaging Tweets from each topic to a GPT-3 AI model
Provided the AI with an existing ‘Trend Report’ to act as a style guide
